Innisfil Community Foundation: Community Round Up

Community Round Up

There are so many good things happening in and around Innisfil. We want to keep you connected, which is why we put together this community round-up sharing the latest from Innisfil Community Foundation (ICF), updates from our grantees, and news from across our community.

The latest from ICF

  • ICYMI, check out this article from InnisfilToday. It’s a great overview of the virtual information sharing event we hosted last week, and highlights some of the amazing work being done by charities in our community.

Grantee Updates

  • Canadian Mental Health Association of Simcoe County has introduced a free, confidential Peer Support Program for Innisfil residents. If you’re struggling, or know someone who is, we encourage you to reach out and speak with someone who can help. We are proud to share that this vitally important resource was funded by ICF, through the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund.
  • There are just two days left to purchase your Pink Savings Card from Tanger Outlets. Buy yours for just $10 by October 31, and save 25% off any item at every participating store for the remainder of the month. Funds raised will support breast cancer and imaging services at RVH.
  • Check out this update from Youth Haven, and learn how they have adapted to continue helping youth in a COVID-19 world.

Community News

  • Local resident Jennifer Richardson has created a Halloween decorating contest. It’s helping to bring our community together and it’s supporting the Innisfil Food Bank and Innisfil’s C4Kids. Win-win! Learn more here.
  • Do you know a charity that could use a financial boost? 100 Women Who Care – South Simcoe is looking for nominations for their November 12th meetings. Email 100womensimcoe@gmail.com for a nomination form.
