2020 COVID-19 Relief Grants
We were preparing to open our first round of grant applications just as COVID-19 disrupted life as we knew it. Understanding that the Innisfil Community Foundation would need to take a bigger role in the community, we set our previous plans aside and quickly established a COVID-19 Relief fund to help charities though the first weeks and months of the pandemic. To date, this fund has granted $54,575 to the following organizations supporting the Innisfil community:

2020 Emergency Community Support Fund Grants
When the Government of Canada announced the Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF), we jumped at the chance to partner with the Community Foundations of Canada to deliver additional funds to help our community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During Round 1 of the ECSF, we granted $75,000 to help five key projects in Innisfil:
Canadian Mental Health Association Simcoe County – “Expanding Mental Health Peer Support Services in Innisfil”
Catholic Family Services of Simcoe County – “Remote Access to Counselling & Wellness Programming”
Innisfil Community Church – “Community Re-Integration and Recovery Program”
Spinal Cord Injury Ontario – “The Safe @ Home Project”
YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka – “Inspire Youth / Connecting with Your Community”
During Round 2 of the ECSF, we granted $50,000 to support seven projects serving the Innisfil community:

Christmas for Kids (all year round) – “Christmas Warm Clothing Drive”
Elizabeth Fry Society Simcoe Muskoka – “Food Security for Temporary Motel Shelter Program”
