COVID-19 Relief Grants

We were preparing to open our first round of grant applications just as COVID-19 disrupted life as we knew it. Understanding that the Innisfil Community Foundation would need to take a bigger role in the community, we set our previous plans aside and quickly established a COVID-19 Relief fund to help charities though the first weeks and months of the pandemic. To date, this fund has granted $54,575 to the following organizations supporting the Innisfil community:

Candlelighters Simcoe
Christmas for Kids
CONTACT Community Services
Friendship Circle
Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka
Independent Living Services of Simcoe County & Area
Matthews House Hospice
Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancer
Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation
Shine Through the Rain Foundation
Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation
Youth Haven

When the Government of Canada announced the Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF),  we jumped at the chance to partner with the Community Foundations of Canada to deliver additional funds to help our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re proud to share that $75,000 has been granted to help five key projects in Innisfil:

Canadian Mental Health Association Simcoe County“Expanding Mental Health Peer Support Services in Innisfil”
Catholic Family Services of Simcoe County“Remote Access to Counselling & Wellness Programming”
Innisfil Community Church“Community Re-Integration and Recovery Program”
