High Demand for Funds

The need for emergency response to COVID-19 is significant. In communities across Canada, the demand for the ECSF activated through Community Foundations of Canada is exceeding the funds available.

Charities and non-profit organizations have been leading the charge to assist those who need it most in the fight against COVID-19. We are inspired by your work and dedication. Unfortunately, we are able to fund only a small portion of the many projects that applied, given the total funds available.

Community Foundations of Canada is one of three partners activating the Emergency Community Support Fund. CFC, in partnership with 177 community foundations, is flowing a modest portion of the total $350M Fund to support the over 85,000 registered charities in Canada.
