There are so many good things happening in and around Innisfil. We want to keep you connected, which is why we put together this community round-up sharing the latest from Innisfil Community Foundation (ICF), updates from our grantees, and news from across our community.


Grantee Updates

  • Join Gilda’s Club on Tuesday, November 24th as their certified child life specialists share how to support children when there is a cancer diagnosis in the family. To sign up for this free virtual workshop, contact: program@gildasclubsm.org

  • Time is running out to secure your tickets for Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Home for the Holidays event. This virtual gala in support of Stevenson Memorial’s greatest needs is taking place on Thursday, November 26th.

  • Youth Haven’s Boxes of Hope campaign is underway. You can choose to #BETHEDIFFERENCE in the lives of youth experiencing homelessness by purchasing a box of hope for $50.

  • Matthews House Hospice is hosting “Hope for the Holidays” on Sunday, December 6th. Luminaries can be purchased in honour or in remembrance of a loved one this holiday season.

Community News

  • Ward 5 Councillor Kenneth Fowler has launched a fundraiser for Chai Lifeline Canada, an organization that assists the families of those facing serious medical challenges. Inspired by Movember, Councillor Fowler has committed to shaving his head if his fundraising reaches $250 and shaving off his beard and moustache if he reaches $1,000. Learn more.
  • Mark your calendar for Saturday, December 5th. The Innisfil Historical Society is having a pre-Christmas Book sale for their 2020 Historical Review – Town of Innisfil 200th Anniversary Edition. Books are $25 each and will be available at the Lakeshore Branch of the ideaLAB & Library (967 Innisfil Beach Rd) on December 5th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
