Innisfil Community Foundation: Community Round Up

Community Round Up – Nov. 13, 2020

There are so many good things happening in and around Innisfil. We want to keep you connected, which is why we put together this community round-up sharing the latest from Innisfil Community Foundation (ICF), updates from our grantees, and news from across our community.

The latest from ICF

  • Forget that it’s #FridayThe13th – more importantly, it’s #WorldKindnessDay. It’s been a tough year and we could all use an extra bit of kindness. What will you do to put a smile on someone’s face today?

  • With $110,000 requested through Emergency Community Support Fund applications, our Board of Directors had to make some difficult decisions on how to grant the $50,000 that ICF was allocated. All applicants will be contacted in the next few days, and we look forward to sharing an exciting update with the community later this month.

Grantee Updates

  • The RVH Auxiliary has launched a 50/50 community lottery. Early bird draws will take place November 10 and November 24. Both draws have a prize value of $1,000 each. The 50/50 draw will then take place on December 3 at 1:00 p.m., with a minimum prize value. Buy your ticket today!

Community News

  • Remembrance Day looked a lot different this year, but that didn’t stop the Rotary Club of Innisfil from creating a memorable Remembrance Day meeting for the community. Over 100 people gathered online to honour our veterans and celebrate our active service members.
  • Community champion Jennifer Richardson is at it again, with “Light it Up Innisfil” – a new community-building contest for the holidays, that is raising funds for the Innisfil Food Bank and C4K.
