Grantee Updates

  • Matthews House Hospice has developed a podcast! “From the Gazebo” discusses all things around hospice and death, while bringing awareness to hospice services. Check it out on YouTube or Spotify.

  • Gilda’s Club is hosting a free virtual workshop on Tuesday, March 30th from 12:00 – 1:00 pm on how to combat self-critical thoughts and self-talk related to a cancer journey. Email program@gildasclubsm.org to register.

  • This week Imani’s Place participated in workshops to help prepare their clients lead a successful independent lifestyle. Check out their facebook page to learn more!

Community News

  • Did you know that Habitat for Humanity will be building in Innisfil? If you’re unable to be approved for a traditional mortgage and want to learn more, join Habitat for Humanity for a virtual information session on Wednesday, March 31st from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Learn more or register today!

  • National Deafblind awareness month is coming up in June. Deafblind Ontario is raising awareness through a global yarn bombing initiative. Knit or chrochet a 20 x 20cm square to come together for people with deafblindness. For more information, connect with Karen Madho at k.madho@deafblindontario.com.
