This weekly round-up shares the latest from Innisfil Community Foundation (ICF), updates from our grantees, and news from across our community.
The latest from ICF
- We’re excited to share that ICF, the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, and Gilda’s Club of Simcoe Muskoka have come together to support some of our youngest citizens. On Saturday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m., Innisfil families are welcome to join Gilda’s Club’s free, virtual “Worry Creatures in the Community” workshop – complete with an interactive worry creature kit. Hosted by Certified Child Life Specialist, Jocelyn Leworthy, the workshop helps validate children’s worries and teaches them coping strategies – like worry creatures – which help children express and manage heavy feelings. Families can register for the workshop online and Library staff will follow up to arrange worry creature kit pick-up via curbside service. This project was funded by ICF through the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund.
