Mayor’s golf tournament raises $66,000 for Innisfil Community Foundation

Funds raised will be awarded to charities supporting Innisfil residents and initiatives

Innisfil, ON – The Innisfil Mayor’s Golf Tournament returned to The Nest at Friday Harbour Resort on June 19, raising $66,000 for the Innisfil Community Foundation. The annual event brought together 144 golfers for a day of friendly competition and charitable giving.

“I am immensely grateful for the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and our hosts at The Nest at Friday Harbour,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “The success of the Mayor’s Golf Tournament shows the incredible impact we can have when we come together. Funds raised will enable the Innisfil Community Foundation to continue supporting initiatives that address our community’s needs.”

The Innisfil Community Foundation works with local charities and non-profit organizations to address social concerns such as poverty, food insecurity, and mental health. All proceeds from the tournament will be used to benefit the local community and create a stronger, more resilient Innisfil.

“The demand for assistance and support is increasing in our local community,” says Sandra Rizzardo, Chair of Innisfil Community Foundation. “We’re grateful to the Town of Innisfil for making the Innisfil Community Foundation the beneficiary of this year’s tournament so we can continue investing in local charities that improve the quality of life for everyone in Innisfil. We would also like to give our heartfelt thanks to the generous sponsors whose support was instrumental in making this event such a success.”

The contributions of the tournament’s sponsors show commitment to the community and reinforce the spirit of collaboration. The Town of Innisfil extends special thanks to sponsors:
